In case anyone asks, the Hill Climb entry bit is on the back of the normal CTT entry form. I have just noted that Doug mentions H/C Entry Form & some of you might think it's a special form.

Come on all you whippets! Yet another trophy to be won.

I filled in both parts and sent both pages, I think you need to do this, though someone else that has entered a hill climb will be able to give better info most likely.

See front of entry form - it says that for a HC you ALSO need to fill in the section B overleaf which is the HC bit.
So both sides need completing. Sorry if I misled you .

Thought you might like to see a letter re HC entry forms from the Wigmore HC organiser himself, Doug Laidlow, plus a few other nice comments.
Pat

PS I will have to tell him about Steve's story as printed in the mag a few months ago re this being his first year of club riding after joining last year on an MTB etc etc..

Anyway, read & digest - & ask Steve how to fill in a CTT entry form!!! This could be an idea for next year's signing on night for new & old riders alike.

Hi Pat,
I had seen the question that was asked by Michael Barnes and sent him an email. Real shame I can not participate on your Forum. Could always be a 2nd claim member I guess.
The answer to the question is that I am not bothered about the Lines on page 1. The nearest distance to what is now entered on Line 7. What use is a 10 mile time when one is entering a Hill Climb?
Page 2 if no performances then Nil should be inserted. It is however of interest to know the quality of a rider who may not have any climbs to his/her credit as I do like to put the classy riders towards the back end of the field. It does not necessarily mean they can climb hills quickly though. So no objections to the whole of the form being completed. Not difficult I guess if details are saved through the season on a PC.
I have seen thousands of entry forms over the years and I have to say that the one from Stephen Berry is a fine example of how a form should be completed for normal TT's. Just where did this man come from?
I must congratulate the SFA for once again having so many quality riders on their books. Well done. I look forward to the SFA being massively interested in the forthcoming Hill Climb. Just as they were for Bill Philbrook's event last May.
Regards,
Doug.

Been speaking with my running coach, who also used to be a fairies member a few years back, Patsy would probably know of him, Peter Mullervy?.. anyways he has given me a good decription of the course, so I thought what the heck, might as well add this to my debut season as well!

so my entry for the hillclimb will be posted next week, once my printer behaves itself :)

Yes I know Peter Mullervey well. Ask him what he thinks about you entering the Catford HC as well. See my separate posts on the TT whatever (I can never remember what you call them) & the News thingy. Please do not ask me for technical details of the course! All I can say is that it goes up!
