Well, it was good to get to the top! A big thank you to all the Fairies that came out in support (yes even you Mr Stocker!) It was much appreciated by all of us (... and I mean that most sincerely folks!).

It was good that Sarah (daughter, not Sutton!) managed it as well. She had taken 10 minutes in a practice run and got under 8 minutes in the event. Even so, I'm selling her Islabike on the forum for not getting under 7 minutes! Well, you have to do something to teach them a lesson don't you?

Oh, by the way, any photos we tried to take were rubbish ... apart from this one ... and it isn't fair to laugh:

Could I add my thanks please! Sorry if I didn't acknowledge them at the time, but I was focussing hard on a small patch of tarmac 1ft in front of my front wheel! Please bear in mind that I have all of your excuses written down and so you will have to come up with different ones next year!

Just want to say a big thank you for everbody who supported us today on the hillclimb, certainly very motivating to hear my name being shouted out and seeing loads of fairies! Must admit, probably the hardest 4-mins Ive ever had on a bike! lol

Good fun though, be back next year to go sub 4mins!
I train hard to cycle fast!

Was great to be watching for once and not having to go through the anxiety and pain. Well done to everyone - some very good times.

Well done everyone. Who has last year's club hill climb champion? Was it done on the same hill and how did the times compare?

Mike was last year's champion - it was contested at the Catford CC event on York's Hill.

Great pics. Some really pained expressions. Sort of makes me wish I'd done it now or at least gone along to watch. 8) Good to see you wearing a helmet Michael. And great time btw!

Has anyone heard from Jason? The pic in the back of his car was bad enough but now I've seen what he looked like on the bike (thanks for the link Michael) I just wanted to check he's ok?
