San Fairy Ann Cycle Club

This is the last local time trial of the year and it is the only Open 15. This is the only race we have the opportunity to try and break the club records, as they can only be set at Open events.

All you need to do is fill out a CTT Open entry form and a cheque for £7.00 and send to the organiser. (send me a PM or e mail for his address details and telephone number) closing date for entry is Tuesday 30th September. Its a 9am start so your alarm won't have to be to early!!

Course description: Q15/20
Leeds – Charing
Start at waste bin in layby on north side of A20 at Leeds Castle, west of Broomfield Road. Proceed along A20 to Charing RAB take 3rd exit to turn (7.456 miles) and retrace along A20 to finish at 23rd kerb joint from east end of layby opposite oak tree. 100 yards west of start. .

Brilliant to see yet another great SFA turnout for this late season event and also 3 of the 6 "zero" positions going to SFA riders. It really does show the strength and depth of talent and enthusiasm we have in the club. Wheey was excited when i saw this start sheet cause im going first well ill decide if thats a good thing once ive finished

OK that was hopeless. Wish I'd gone to watch the Hill Climb! I was about 3mins slower than earlier in the season. That's it, I've survived a season and it's time to pack it in. I'm selling my Time Trial bike, heap of junk metal that it is! Actually it isn't, it's plastic of course, but that's not the point! What is the point?

I reckon I'll put it on ebay .. any thoughts on what the starting price should be? I suggested £350 (but someone has already countered with £3.50 - before Bosley comes up with his purile jokes .. hold on, that's me, think I'll go have a rest).

Don't sell it John - I was about 2 mins 40 down from the 15 on Harrietsham earlier in the year as well and I've no intention of selling my bike! It's just the end of a long season and we're all a bit fatigued. Mentally it's hard to find top gear all year round. You've made great progress this year with more to come next year for sure! Time to hang the TT bike up for a while and enjoy some social riding, not hang it up for good.
