Thames Cycle Path Erith (Bexley) to Greewich

Thames Cycle Path Erith (Bexley) to Greewich

Postby simon olley on Fri Aug 21, 2009 6:12 pm

Yesterday I took my family along the cycle path to Greenwich, which made an unusual, traffic-free (apart from one little stretch near the Thames Barrier) route. I took the bikes up on the car because train involves so many changes from where we live (parking just down from Erith Station £2.40 a day, though free yesterday 'cause both meters were bust!).

Certainly made a change from the Kent lanes.

It's dead flat so good for kids, various boats, aeroplanes (City Airport) river things and funky architecture to look at, plus of course, the Thames Barrier and the Dome with Greenwich as the destination.

Thought it was worth a mention for anyone with kids off school and looking for a slightly different ride. If you're interested I've put a few pics up on my flickr page...
