Tenterden Railway station

Tenterden Railway station

Postby Martyn MotorMouth on Fri Jul 24, 2009 3:22 pm

Today I went to book Tenterden Railway station cafe but was horrified to find out that they intended to charge every rider a platform ticket charge as well. Even though we intended spending large sums of money in there cafe. I thought this was a bit of a "Cheek" so i cancelled my booking.

I feel this is blatant profiteering so for this reason I intend to Bouycott this cafe.

We never used to be charged a Platform Ticket so untill they change their policy I aint going there.

Well at least its not as bad as Leeds Castle.
I personally recommend the use of an approved cycle helmet when riding ones bike

I have a mate who works as a volunteer on the railway and I will pass on the info. I will put it to him that the club are happy to use the cafe and spend lots of money but not if charged a platform ticket. He recently told me that they could do with more revenue.
Keep you updated.
