Ok, that's long enough. It's Wednesday ... has Phil Burke completed the 100 mile yet?

Phil B got to the Tea & Toast stop OK so look anywhere beyond that. By the way, who was the Fairy who turned left after my place instead of going straight over the A274? All I know is that he had a beard. Maybe it was a 100 miler from last year still trying to finish?

I have just got the Rootes Trophy off my shelf to polish ready for Sunday in case we have not won it

I was amazed when I saw Ted's full checkers list of riders at the numbers some clubs fielded, when you hardly see them around the rest of the year!!

I am being patient waiting for Paul Mepham to reveal all. Any comments re the White Hart Claygate as a finish venue ready for next year? I hear only roasts were available.

Hi John-Boy (hands up all those oldies who remember "The Waltons" on TV?)

Your giant arm warmers are now in the possession of Sarah Sutton who called in here today to collect a cup & claim form from Dave Stocker.

By the way, congratulations on winning £15 in the Kent TT league this season for the biggest improvement on your LTS 25. One more reason to cheer you as you go up on the stage on Sunday. At least 1 Fairy got their hands on some of the £400 the KCA put into this competition!!

Yes I have just checked that. I assumed it was over 50 I hadn't realised I'd improved that much on my 25 - that'll buy the left rear brake pad for a new time trial bike!

Where are the results? I entered the KCA TT League, but apart from an initial email from Malcolm Strickland I've heard no more. Would be keen to see the results.

Pat, this is known as hi-jacking a thread and is very much frowned on in some forums.(Makes it difficult when you want to find a particular message at a future date).

The opposite is starting a second concurrent thread on the same topic, like we have 2 on the KCA Reliability Trial.

It must be something about KCA RT threads. The other one quickly digressed to an unrelated "poets corner" too.

Perhaps I'll start a new thread in "Timetrialling" re the KCA TT League 8)

Hi Ron,
You will have to forgive my ignorance of the correct procedure for these modern means of communication. If anyone wants to frown on me feel free - then see what happens in the next magazine when I read of someone posting re why he hasn't seen any mention of a particular subject & it has been in the mag pages for months!!!

Yours shamefully

We won!! I am amazed nobody has told anyone after all the cheering at the KCA Lunch yesterday. The trophy is back on my shelf . I have to admit that we both fell asleep when we got home at 6pm after being there at 9am setting the hall up, & we surfaced too late to do any work. I emailed Ron with the news at about 3am this morning when I woke .

It was a sound thrashing of our rivals - nuff said!! I will get the exact figures from Paul later today. I hope all our newbies enjoyed the day which was yet another good day to be a Fairy!!! Old or new.

Thanks to all who came not only to take medals or support their loved ones but to all who came to show support for our band of people who make the KCA events work for the benefit of the SEDC & all clubs who without our events would have a poor time of riding 10s & 25s here in Kent every week (apart from our & the Kent vets' 50s)

Pat (I hope I am on the right thread  )
