What can I say, Pave is a whole new discipline of cycling.

I saw many belgians (thats right locals) just falling off their bikes even at the sight of a Pave Hill. Let alone the ones who decided to stop half way up the hill and fell off as a consequence.

Should I do a Pave ride again, I will be taking a Full Suspension Mountain Bike with slick tyres.

Great ride though, amazing spectacle to see an event with over 10,000 cyclists in attendance. The feeding stations were equally as astonishing, with 3 constant lines of cyclists being issued with Waffles, Water, Fruit and Sports Drink.

I also now appreciate why even the Pros take the decision to walk up some of the Pave hills, its not gradient its purely praticality and safety.

This sportive stands out as by far the biggest achievement of the time I have been cycling with the Fairies. Highly recommended to be done at least once.
