Puncture record set today at Tipples Farm getting on for about 20 with a similar number of riders.

Well done to Martin, Sarah and Rob for your organisation and marshalling and to Mr Tipples for allowing the use of his land, a beautiful setting.

Top ride today goes to the effortless Phil Webb with Scotty not that far behind.

Other high points of the day include Edwards senior and junior sprinting for the finish with jnr taking the honours. (I dont think it will be too long before Henry is doing the same to me). Also seeing the 4 young lads just simply enjoying being out on their bikes in the fresh air was good to see.

My thanks to Sarah for lending me her bike, in true style i gave it back to her with a puncture.

Lastly thanks to the supporters who helped spur us all on.

Well I do Have some final Results !!!!!

Junior race

1st Henry Sayers
2nd Joseph Peal
3rd Josh Simpson
4th Hamish Anderson
5th Harry Bradford
6th Melus Mardell

The junior race boasted 2 previous champions both out to regain their crown after the handicap evened out it was Henry Sayers all the way although Joseph was lucky to finnish second with a fast finnishing Josh Simpson closing in. Nice to see newcomer Hamish Anderson beating class mate Harry Bradford for 4th.

Senior Race

This year we saw 15 riders take the start with Defending champion Phill Webb in Good form another previous champion Dave Law showing he hasn't lost form.
At the end of the first lap Phill Webb had a handy lead from Brother Scott with Dave law in third. A lap later Phill had extended his lead to 40 seconds from Scott. The Battle for third place was close as Dave law tried to hold off 4 other Riders In Ian Sutton,Carl Bradford Duncan Edwards And Jack Edwards. As the next lap progressed the 2 Webb brothers pulled away, Ian Sutton retired with a Mechanical and Father and son Duncan and Jack Moved forwards. Dave law tried in vain to hold onto the Edwards but they Pulled away while Carl Bradford pulled out with a puncture. After 7 Laps Phill Webb came home to regain the Off road title from brother Scott with Jack Edwards Out sprinting his dad for third. An Unlucky Dave Law Finished the last lap running to finish a credible 7th after he punctured.

It was a tough day for all what with punctures all over and a testing circuit and the extremley fast pace set by Phill Webb. A big well done to all who took part Was there anyone who Didn't puncture at some piont??

The Unluckiest rider was John Tidyman who Punctured on his first lap who Punctured on the warm-up lap as well.

A big thanks to Sarah Sutton & Rob Tipples for marshalling. Thanks also to Tim Feneron who was our Medic who was never needed once thankfully.

It was nice to see so many spectators whao also enjoyed the racing even if Bernadette didn't really understand what was going on :o

Where was Jody Hope ?? :?:
Actually Where was Natalie Bent as well ?? :?:
We did have one Female in the Senior Race "Kate Alderson" who finished a creditable 9th

Results
1st Phill Webb 37.32
2nd Scott Webb 39.15
3rd Jack Edwards 41.22
4th Duncan Edwards 41.25
5th Lee Sayers 6laps
6th Giles Fulford 6 laps( Single Free)
7th Dave Law 6 laps ( Running )

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who played a part in the SFACC 2009 off-road champs this year. With a special mention going out to Martin, Rob, Sarah and Tim. With great weather and an eventful day with lots of punchers two races took place. On the note of punchers I sustained two but thankfully not in the race. I know my brother Scott didn't get one (Lucky git). I'm looking forwards to the cyclocross next weekend. Cheers all.:D
