Just in case you all thought it's too darn quiet in Audax Land :D

Andy - wonderful ride brilliantly described.

Everyone else - please make 5 minutes to follow the link and read what it's like to ride 600k (or as Andy says, 2 consecutive 300s)

Thank you .... t'was indeed a good ride.

Patsy, yes no problem. I think I should alter some references to Cyklisten and Mrs thereof and perhaps a brief explanation of who El Supremo actually is. I would be happy to do that and email you the copy if you wish. I also have some pix if required

cheers

Hi Andy,

Yes please!! I like to try & cover all our activities when I get the chance & I know that a lot of our readers will appreciate the effort needed to complete these long distance Audax rides. Can you select a good close-up photo of yourself for the mag & send it to me this week, deadline Friday?

Pat

I have sorted the report and pic(s) (editors choice). Can you PM your email address to me as I cannot send the files via the site due to size restrictions

cheers

Hi Andy,
I assumed that everyone knew my email address as it's printed on the inside cover of the mag each month against Editor. So no need for PMs as I give everything away, even my postal address, under Editorial.I prefer to receive all stuff for the mag by email attachment

However, in case you have chucked all your mags I will send you a PM.
What a month to be the Fairy Editor!! So many great rides all round the club. Many thanks for your contribution.

Very well done Andy - this must be a much harder way to get an SR than Calendar events.

Thanks Richard.
I don't know which is the easiest, having done both, as both have their merits. Calendar events mean you are not alone, plenty of banter etc; but it is easy to be lured into an unsuitable pace and pay the price later. I not only don't mind solitude but positively enjoy it (only child - another can of worms! ) so riding alone isn't a problem. I suppose you could get away with packing on a solo ride without the attendant embarrassment but I have no concept of packing (read bloody minded) especially when I deliberately announced my intentions on Facebook for the world to see. I think the perm approach allows more flexibility as to the 'when' of the riding but the potential for letting it slip is equally great. A double edged sword indeed!

cheers
