It looks like PBs all round and a new club record over in Wales! I'm sure we will hear more shortly.

Results on CTT site.

Hmm, worth the long trip to Wales again - particularly as we were part of TT history today, with Dave McGann breaking a certain Chris Boardman's National Competition record by 3 seconds with his time of 45.54! He was certainly motoring when he came past me, probably doing about 34 mph UP a gentle drag.

In terms of our own rides, with 51.51 I set a new PB by 1.10 and broke Roy Manser's 1988 club record by 57 seconds (to be ratified of course). Barely believable that Mike and I should only be separated by one second over 25 miles, and unluckily for him I set off 10 minutes earlier. He has set a fantastic new PB though by 1.07.

Sarah also went well, and with her 1.01.57 she knocked 34 seconds off her PB.

The weather was obviously pretty good - about 18 degrees when Mike and I rode, and very calm. I think we all had a good run at the roundabouts as well! There is very little traffic to speak of on the course, compared to say the E2, but there is a small downhill section that helps with the average speed on the 'out' leg...After turning at about 16 miles, there is a gentle drag back up for the last 9, before a quickish finish off the dual carriageway sliproad.

Highly recommend the course, although now that it is the 'comp record' course I suspect it will become even harder to get on.

Well done all of you. These times are amazing and a big jump from your PB's. Definately worth the visit I would say.

Mega well done to all three of you, just when you thing all the best times are in for the year, you pull this one out of the bag.
Sarah must be setting her sights on a sub hour ride for next year. All I can ask is, we are all invited to the celebration party.

Thanks Clive. I still have to improve by two minutes to get there but I think it may have to be on next years goal list! Looks like my winter is going to be full of more training and less cake.

Less cake? Bugger, that's where I've been going wrong!
