Well, the limit seems a bit difficult to maintain (and I doubt I'll find myself slowing down whilst in full swing!), but doesn't mean we won't wait for people to catch up - though I can't see this being too much of a problem if everyone is of a similar standard.
And Mike! You can't leave us alone all winter!!

Bring your coach along to give us the advice as well!

I agree with what you're saying, though - and Damian Cairns said the same at the teack meeting; for those who are short of time, an uninterrupted training ride is not only more beneficial for fitness, but means you can get back earlier. Otherwise, some people simply cannot spare most of their saturday to ride and stop for hours.
Bearing in mind that once the ride has returned to Marden, those who want to go on a further ride could always do so anyway! There's nothing stopping you - and it's something I do already anyway.
Something else me and Dave Seager were discussing the other day was whether the club itself could invest in a Garmin Edge 705 GPS bike computer that could be used to record clubrun routes (and other rides) and then be loaned out to people as and when they wish to lead a ride but don't know where they're going! The advantage of this is that the data could also be transferred to the club website and stored there for anyone to access and use in the future.
OK, it's an expensive bit of kit, but as I am now the owner of one myself, I cannot recommend it highly enough - it is an excellent tool and would be well worth the investment. Anyone got any thoughts on that?
Cheers all
P.S. Mr Barnes - with you out, 40 will not be enough. Oh, by the way, how was your holiday? Glad to be back - did you go out on the club run in the end? Are you still interested in going to Hog hill or something? There's one in a couple of weekends...
The car in front is a Toyota. The car behind is inevitably some git in a BMW doing their best to knock you off your bike...
