Hi all I raced at lee valley county park (Gunpowder Park) for round three of the London and south east cyclocross season (Sunday 4th November). With the sun shining I made the journey to this new circuit in the cross calendar. The circuit was very straight forwards being made up of paths and grass. With two rather quite steep downhills followed by a hairpin turn at the bottom followed by a very short steep uphill. Many riders had to walk these but I manage to ride them lap after lap. At the start my name was called up with me gridded on row three. This enabled me to get of to a great start. I done a head count after half a lap and I was in 15th place. I found myself in a group of 4 riders and we were flying around the circuit and lapped others after only two laps. The group of 4 soon turned into a group of 3 then a lap or so later only 2. Me and a guy called Taylor Johnstone from Team Dever raced very closely and it turned into a sprint finish with me betting him by a bike length. I v just found out the full results via British cycling. 80 riders finished with me finishing 5th. I am very pleased. :D
Don’t forget about the SFACC cyclocross event at chainhurst on the 18th of October. Please come and cheer all us fairies on. Thanks :D :D :D

Yes well done Phil, great result. Have you seen the video on LondonCycleSport? It's a helmet-cam video by Matt Seaton of the first lap, and for the majority of it you are just ahead of him! It's a bit like a SFACC promo video!! Looks like a quickish course and I saw that you rode the steep climbs that some walked.

See you at the mtb champs most probably.

Yes I v watched the video several times now it's great. :D I also like the photos. The London Cycle Sport has a very good website setup.

I will be there at the mtb champs and hopefully will get a preview of the cyclocross circuit.

Should I be getting royalties for the video? LoL
