League Round 13 Footscray Sidcup

I decided to cycle to this event and try my hand at spectating / photographer today. Although after a practice lap of the circuit I wise I had competed. With the course consisted of manly grass with a short wooded section. It would have made it fast. Henry raced for the first time in his new spd shoes which Santa brought for him and Lee and James raced in the S/V/W race. Got a couple of photos to share but it was difficult to get a good shot as Lee and James were going so fast. Next time boys slow down a bit …..ImageImageImage

Cheers Phil, your very kind about the going to fast as near the end i certainly did not feel that fast as i blew up on the last lap.

James Smith rode steadily and i never really saw him after the second lap.

Another good event only 30 minutes from Maidstone, nice park if a little cool in the stiff easterly that was blowing across the grounds.

Henry recovered well after a poor start, while he was struggling to get clipped in a lad tagged his wheel (by accident) then the course bottle necked and the leaders were gone.

Winner of the main event was Billie Joe Whyman (rode the SFA event) he told me he has trained or raced every day for last 8 days, serious committment! This is probably one of the best things about these CX races, you are in the same race as Pro/International/Sponsored riders and its great to see how it can be done.

Roll on Herne Hill 1st Jan and 4th Jan.
