Things looking more hopeful today with the news that, following talks with Sport England, the CEO of British Cycling (Ian Drake) reports that Sport England are to discuss with Kent County Council as to how they can work with them to take forward the Funding Application.
This is a positive step forward, especially as Ian goes on to say Sport England are being proactive in supporting Kent!
No response yet from Government departments on the bridge issue.

The latest news on the A2 Park is very encouraging. The Highways Authority have backed down over the bridge issue and the resultant talks between main parties means the project can now go ahead early next year. It has also been mooted that there could possibly be a hard track added to the site at a later date. Your local BC Board will be discussing this at the next meeting. Hopefully no more spanners will be thrown in the works!
