No, not seen one yet. Last year it came out via email on the Sunday, one week in advance.

This extract from the regulations is clear:

9. Age Categories

Juvenile - until his sixteenth birthday. (N.B. a Juvenile may compete as a Junior).
Junior - from his sixteenth birthday and until 31st December of the year in which his 18th birthday occurs.
Espoir - from 1st January of the year following his 18th birthday and until 31st December of the year in which his 22nd birthday occurs.
Veteran - forty years of age and over on the day of the event.

So with the exception of becoming a vet you only change category at the appropriate year end and not on your birthday.

PS My post hasn't arrived can someone let me know my start time, please?

For all you newbies on this course (me included) be aware that when you finish you will need to brake before you enter the slip road back on to the Thanet Way, check behind you and make a U turn (preferably on foot) otherwise you will get back on to the dual carriageway and have to ride up to the next turn off to get off. This will add an approx. 4 miles round trip to get back to the finish.
I had not thought about this but just talking to Clin Maisey of the Wigmore this evening he said that new riders on this course should be aware of this.

Thanks Dave for again giving the CTT regs re TTS . I will get every Fairy Time Triallist to buy their own CTT National Handbook in 2010 or die in the attempt! I thought I did well this year - but with all the new racers coming on I say again, you need a National Handbook (£7.50 this year I think) & a SEDC District Handbook (£1.50 this year) to get through a season of riding Open events (all details of event promoters, courses etc in National HB) & club events (all evening events shown in SEDC HB) For about a layout of £9 you will find the answer to all the queries that appear on this forum.

The National Hbk is invaluable - you can plan your racing year from it, & it covers everything a self-respecting TT rider should know. (now I just wait for the Booley Boy to reply) :)

One point to bear in mind is that if we order 10 or more National handbooks you usually get 50p a copy off. Get together in January & do a bulk order or I will do it if you give me names - & the dosh when ordering.

If you are computer literate I would also add that all the info in the National Handbook can be found on the CTT National website - see link from our website.

In the words of Arnie: "I'll be back"

Very impressive ride today from Michael, especially considering the less than ideal conditions. Well done Steve too with a fast 25 in the legs from the day before.
