Hell of the Ashdown 2010 !!

Hell of the Ashdown 2010 !!

Postby Phill on Sun Oct 18, 2009 7:52 am

Just received notification of the 2010 Hell of the Ashdown.

For those of you who are not familiar its a 100k Sportive with 6 challenging climbs totalling over 2000meters run in the middle of winter. Starting from Biggen hill and over Toys Hill, Dormansland Hill, Kidds Hill, Groombridge hill, Bayliss Hill, Star Hill (oh and a couple of other lumpy bits along the way). And if that isn't enough during the 2009 event as we started the last couple of climbs the heavens opened and dumped snow all over the downs

The on-line booking opens on 31st Oct 2009 here http://www.hell.gb.com/ . Last year the 1000+ places sold out within 10 days so get in early.

Just popped my name down for this. I decided to go in the 08.45 group if anyone want to join me? There are 40 places in each group but they will go fast!

Ben
i've entered and have an 8.45 slot also.
Any other Fairies want to go for slots in this vicinity?
There is a degree of variability as last year they were sending 'sparse' groups out and weren't too worried what your official start time was.

Some of us have to leave early so we can get round before the 'Broom Wagon' picks us up

Bum clouds.

One day I will organise myself...
The car in front is a Toyota. The car behind is inevitably some git in a BMW doing their best to knock you off your bike...
