Fast inters today

Postby Richard Poynter on Sat Aug 08, 2009 5:40 pm

Cheers Phil.. no problem... Glad you enjoyed ( endured ) it....

Celia - Im not sure how fast/average speed of the ride today -as i dont have a computer, .. I do know it was 45-47 miles long ... it was however as everyone who went on the ride will testify quite hilly ... Most of the fast inters rides don't tend to be as hilly as that i don't think but i like seeing everyone suffer and i thought Martyn Peal was gonna be out so I had to find some way of keeping him quiet at least for part of the ride.. I have only seen you on the French trip and you seemed to be riding very well then... I don't reckon you would have any problems on a fast inters ride... ( i guess that is why you were asking?)
Team Cheryl...

Lol at Richard,
I take it you have not been on one of my rides yet then I lead, we usually do Cat1 climbs most of the day!!! :) Ask most of the fast inters group, plus the A-group when I have the dubious pleasure of having to partly lead them as well, far to quick bunch for a mere mortal such as myself! hee hee hee :)

Yeah Celia, your be fine with the fast inters, just stick in the group and get pulled along. The stated pace of the rides are 16-18mph, distance between 45-60miles, 60 being very extreme, most the rides I lead fall around the 50-mile mark or just under. My next lead is sat Aug 29th, if your with the fast inters that day, I keep an eye on you and make sure your ok! :)
I train hard to cycle fast!
