Dick Naylor had an accident today while walking in Maidstone near Lidls. He was hit by a car & suffered lacerations all down his left side. He had a 7 hour op in Maidstone Hospital (I believe that's the correct hospital) & a team from East Grinstead Hospital came out to deal with his facial injuries.

I understand that he was placed in an induced coma for a while but is stable. I have no doubt that we will hear more when Ronnie has time to gather herself (she was on her way home by bus after shopping with Dick)
but meanwhile the whole club wish Dick a speedy recovery after what has been a great season for him. We will no doubt hear more at Wobblers tomorrow.

That is terrible news. Very best wishes to Dick and Ronnie and that he makes as speedy a recovery as possible. No doubt his superb fitness will help him through this.

As one of the slightly younger members of the club, Dick has been a bit of an inspiration to me in the racing scene and his times and RR results continue to amaze.

Just had a messaage from Mick Lane about Dick but wasn't aware the extent of the injuries and I initially thought it was bike related. Jan had mentioned earlier that an air ambulance had landed on Rocky Hill yesterday and I assume it was at Dick's accident. Was only speaking to him last week about the vets double points race at the weekend, which if he won would have meant him having enough points to win the series.

Like everyone else I hope he recovers well from this serious accident and my thoughts are with Ronnie who must be going through an ordeal.

Ah, that's not the kind of news I wanted to hear :( Absolutely terrible and I can only wish the very best and speediest possible recovery back to full (and considerably fast!) health. Hope to have you back soon Dick
The car in front is a Toyota. The car behind is inevitably some git in a BMW doing their best to knock you off your bike...

Just gone on line for the first time since Monday and found load of e-mails - as Dave Seager said just the bare title is ominous. Hard to imagine what Ronnie and the family must be going through, hopefully Dick's fitness will help his recovery.
