Hi all,

At the end of March I will be taking part in the Absa Cape Epic, a 750km (that’s just under 500 miles in sterling) mountain bike race over eight days. I have been keeping a record of training, and will maintain a log during the race. So, if you are interested, please dip in now and again and have a look how we are doing (I am riding with a colleague from The Times). And please leave the occasional sarcastic remark – that will confirm what we already know – that we’re totally crazy
