A run 3rd Oct

Postby simoncharlesworth on Mon Oct 05, 2009 3:17 pm

Thanks Phill
A great route -with two killer climbs- have never been up the one to Kingsdown. Typically pacy- my knees are truly suffering now.
Was that 8 or ten inner tubes used -a record for a dry day possibly.Hope your tumble didn't cause any long term suffering.
Cheers
Simon
P.S we lost Alan again on the return!!!!

Yes thanks Phill! Nice choice of cafe - that was one mecca sandwich  I know where to go when I have a small family of elephants to feed on a budget.

Only problem is you keep taking us one routes that I keep thinking of trying out and setting a very high standard to follow! 8)
The car in front is a Toyota. The car behind is inevitably some git in a BMW doing their best to knock you off your bike...

That will explain something. While riding home from Marden Saturday at 14.40 Alan Ng was riding up collier street towards Marden on his own I did wonder where that rest of the group were
I personally recommend the use of an approved cycle helmet when riding ones bike

have never been up the one to Kingsdown.

If it was Exedown (comes up to the radio mast) it's the one we used to use for the Tricycle Association hill climb.

It was discontinued as we all got older before someone had a heart attack!

It started about 100 yards from the Pilgrims way crossroads and finished by the mast so I suppose it did. I was probably into the red mist by then.
